Student guide
The Music: Performance: Collaborative Piano, DMA: what it asks for, in what order, and who teaches it. This guide was started from the catalog; its own introduction is still to be written.
What the degree asks for, group by group. The map sets out every course by how many must come before it; open a course there to see what it needs and what it opens.

4 credits.
Three courses, at least one in musicology and one in music theory, from the list every DMA path shares; the third may instead be one of the two music education courses on it (MUSIC 946, CURRIC 947). Taken at UW-Madison, each for its full 3 credits, and not counted twice. The Guide also lists MUSIC 823, which has no page among its courses, so it is not drawn.
6 recitals at 1 credit each (at least one vocal and one instrumental, four normally before preliminary examinations; after them a lecture recital and a final recital, prepared independently), and the DMA research project (MUSIC 999), which after preliminary examinations takes the continuous registration of exactly three research-related credits a term; its credits beyond the recitals fall under the Guide's additional coursework.
Everyone teaching a course in this degree this term, by the part of the degree they teach in. Expand an area to see who is in it; someone teaching in two areas appears in both, with that area’s courses on each card. A Full-time band on a photo means that instructor is full-time faculty.
